Peskov: Putin to participate in quartet summit on Syria in Istanbul

Moscow, SANA- Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the Quartet Summit on Syria scheduled to be held in Istanbul on October 27th.

Peskov was quoted by Sputnik Agency as saying that “No breakthrough or decisive decisions should be expected…This meeting is not for achieving a breakthrough, and we are preparing for it.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Russian Presidential Aide Ushakov said that “Presidents of Russia, France, Germany and Turkey will meet in Istanbul to discuss the crisis in Syria,” adding that the specific details of their talks are being prepared.
