US presence on Syrian territory doesn’t aim at fighting Daesh- Czech website

Prague, SANA- The presence of the US occupation forces on Syrian territory does not aim at fighting Daesh “ISIS” terrorist organization, as successive US administrations claim, but is part of the war waged by Washington against Syria, which also includes economic sanctions, the ATC24 Czech website said.

In a comment posted Tuesday, the site added “The US building new military bases in eastern Syria means the continuation of its occupation of the Syrian lands and its wealth.”

It considered that the pretext of fighting ISIS no longer has any meaning, especially since the Syrian government and the allied powers can fight the remnants of this terrorist organization in case the United States withdraws from Syria.

The site noted that the US policy against Syria has become weaker and less effective in view of the wide Arab and regional openness towards Damascus and the resumption of its participation in the meetings of the Arab League and the strengthening of its relations with various countries.
