Aid convoy enters towns in Damascus countryside, locals protest against terrorists

Damascus countryside, SANA-Relief subcommittees in Damascus countryside, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), managed to enter an aid relief convoy of 15 trucks to Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahm in Damascus countryside.

This aid comes in the framework of government’s efforts to make success the national reconciliations in different areas.

The aid, which included 7,500 food baskets, was distributed to those towns where around 9300 families are living.

Four trucks entered Beit Sahm, five Babila and six Yalda, all loaded with foodstuffs and relief materials.

Aid convoys have been delivered to various areas and neighborhoods in the province in the context of the efforts exerted by Damascus Countryside to provide humanitarian aid to needy citizens.

A number of civilians, who gathered to receive the aid, considered the delivery of aid “a sign of confidence” between the government and citizens, calling for efforts to complete reconciliations in Damascus Countryside and release the detainees.

Head of the reconciliation committee in Yalda Sheikh Saleh al-Khateeb said that citizens are the government’s partners in finding solutions for each area, adding that national reconciliation process in these towns is progressing.

Locals of Beit Sahm, Yelda, and Bebila towns protest terrorism, call for helping people of Yarmouk Camp

On a relevant note, hundreds of people from the towns of Beit Sahm, Yelda, and Bebila gathered on Friday to protest against the ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra terrorist organizations, calling for helping the people of Yarmouk Camp in their fight against ISIS.

The participants denounced the crimes committed by terrorists, demanding that the foreign terrorists leave Syria, and stressing the need to put Syria’s future above other considerations.

Last Wednesday, hundreds of terrorists from ISIS entered Yarmouk Camp, assisted by terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra.

It should be noted that the authorities, with the help of reconciliation committees in the aforementioned towns, resolved the legal status of townspeople who were involved in the event that turned themselves in and handed over their weapons.
