Cuban’s ELAM expresses solidarity with Syria in combating terrorism

Havana, SANA- Rector of Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in Cuba Dr. Antonio Lopez affirmed that his country, from the beginning of the crisis in Syria, supported the Syrian people and leadership since Cuba knew the nature of conspiracy against Syria.

During the inauguration of a mural representing the fight of Syria’s people, army and leadership against terrorism, Lopez said we do announce from this podium ELAM’s solidarity with Syria which has been targeted by this imperialist war and aggression for five years.

Praising the mural, Lopez said it embodies Syria’s steadfastness and reflects role and responsibility of the Syrian students studying at ELAM towards their homeland, pointing out that the mural with all its symbols is considered a part of Syria inside the Cuban lands.

In turn, Head of Syria’s diplomatic mission in Havan Louai al-Ouje said that Syria’s enemies used all political, military, economic and media means and tools in their aggression against the Syrian people.

He added that Syrians are united behind their leadership and army in the fight against terrorism and they are so confident of the victory.

Arab and foreign students studying at ELAM expressed solidarity with Syria in its fight against terrorism to preserve its dignity, sovereignty and independence.
The mural, placed at ELAM museum, is six meters long and three meters high containing a photo of President Bashar al-Assad, Syrian eagle holding the Syrian flag, Syrian soldiers in uniforms as well as a photo of the first Alphabet in history from Ugarit site in Lattakia.
