Cessation of hostilities agreement breached seven more times by terrorists

Lattakia, SANA – The cessation of hostilities agreement was breached seven more times by terrorist groups in the past 24 hours, the Russian center monitoring the agreement said on Thursday.

The Center, based in Hmeimim air base, added in a statement that the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” terrorist organization targeted with mortar shells six towns in the Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside, while the terrorists of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” shelled one village in Lattakia countryside.

The center pointed out that the number of towns that have joined the agreement of the cessation of hostilities in Syria reached 383.

The terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS targeted during the past 24 hours several towns and neighborhoods in Aleppo and its countryside, a number of towns in Damascus eastern and southwestern countryside, Tal Antar town in Daraa and other areas in Hama countryside, according to the center.

It highlighted that two tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to the locals of al-Badrossiyeh in Lattakia countryside and two tons of flour were delivered to a bakery in Homs.

According to the center, a Russian plane dropped 21 tons of humanitarian aid provided by the United Nations containing amounts of cereals, sugar and salt to the ISIS-besieged Deir Ezzor city.

The cessation of hostilities agreement does not include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
