Minister of Endowments receives initial Hajj 1447 AH arrangements document

Mecca, SANA- As part of early preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season, Syria’s Minister of Endowments (Awqaf), Dr. Mohammad Abu al-Khair Shukri, has received the document outlining the initial Hajj arrangements from Dr. Abdulfattah bin Suleiman Mashat, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, during an official meeting held in Mecca.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to coordinate and enhance cooperation between both sides to ensure the best services for pilgrims from the Syrian Arab Republic and to facilitate the performance of rituals in an atmosphere of spirituality and ease.

In a related context, and as part of efforts to strengthen religious and intellectual cooperation during the Hajj season, the Minister of Endowments, accompanied by a delegation from the ministry, visited the headquarters of the Muslim World League in Mecca. There, he met with the League’s Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in promoting moderate religious discourse and coordinating efforts to confront extremism and radicalism.

They emphasized the importance of joint action in serving the causes of the Islamic Ummah and upholding the values of mercy, tolerance, and coexistence.
