Mikdad: Malicious war on Syria is like a war of mass destruction

Beirut, SANA- Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said the malicious war on Syria during the last two weeks was like a war of” mass destruction” where enemies of Syria have utilized weapons, money, western and Zionist media  to realize their targets.

“The campaign on Syria has started through a criminal attack by Turkey on the north-western parts of Syria with a support from rulers of Saudi Arabia and Qatar which mobilized thousands of terrorists from Chechen and other countries to carry out this attack and ensure them a fire coverage,” Mikdad said in an article published by Lebanese al-Binaa newspaper on Saturday.

He added the crime of Ahmet Davutoglu who has violated the Syrian sovereignty under the pretext of visiting the tomb of   Suleyman Shah inside the Syrian territories was “an unveiled cover on the Turkish schemes and a return of the Ottoman dreams to the ill minds of the Development and Justice Party’s leaders.”

Mikdad pointed out to the campaign’s misleading and false dealing with the Russian policies in the region, including the relations with Syria and the Russian political support to Syria in the framework of respecting the UN charter, human rights and combating terrorism.

He also referred to the strategic relations between Syria and Iran, saying that the support offered by Iran to Syria amid these conditions is considered as a symbol of sacrifice feelings expressed by Iran towards the noble purpose for which Syria fights enemies of the Islamic and Arab nations.
