Interior Minister lauds prevailing security atmosphere in Hama

Hama, SANA – Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammad al-Shaar praised the state of security and calm that prevails across the province of Hama.

An awareness, he went on saying, has guarded Hama against saboteurs and conspirators.

The Minister’s visit to Hama, he said, came in the framework of “further deepening the atmosphere of security…and stressing that the state is keen on the safety of the residents and their properties.”

He noted that he has given directions to address some “gaps and violations”, halt “any practices that do wrong to the citizens by whatever party” and use “an iron fist” against corrupt people.

In another context, the Interior Minister said members of the Internal Security Forces in Syria have set an example of sacrifice to follow throughout the three-year crisis in the country.

During a meeting with security officers at the Police Command in the province in the framework of his visit, the Minister hailed the efforts and sacrifices that security members have made all over Syria, which he said are held in high esteem by many world countries that talked about them.

He cited “the heroics” of the defenders of Aleppo Central Prison, which was recaptured by the army after long siege by the terrorist groups, as a recent manifestation of the security forces’ sacrifices.

Al-Shaar called for sparing no effort so as for security and stability to once again prevail in Syria and to restore the atmosphere of tranquility for the citizens.

He pointed out to plans to set up qualification and training programs on a regular basis to upgrade the level of performance among security officers and sub-officers to bring out the best in them especially under the current circumstances where acts of abduction and looting have startlingly increased.
